Our Holiday Program Activities
Virtual Reality
Our DreamLeaders guide children through a short presentation on safely using high-tech VR equipment and explain the basic engineering concepts that make the technology work. We focus on safety, confidence, and setting up rules for engaging in the virtual world.
Each child will explore and interact with their own VR headset, discovering the limitless fun and possibilities for the future. Senior children will have the opportunity to explore an interactive virtual world, applying their newly acquired skills in fun high-tech gaming experiences.
Junior children explore a 360* virtual colouring world, using their fine motor skills to use the controller buttons they begin to make colour choices and associate feelings as their virtual world comes to life. Even the soundscape responds to each child as they uniquely colour their world in to create a truly engaging experience. This fully immersive and interactive activity will have children absolutely buzzing with excitement and achievement.
Neonatal Nurse
Children will identify traits of good caregivers (caring, patience, persistence, empathy, resilience) and relate these to their community and their peers.
Our DreamLeaders guide children through some of the daily actionable tasks to care for a newborn, while encouraging discussions around community, belonging and working together to solve problems.
Next is when then magic begins! Our high-tech Babies are the worlds most advanced infant simulators, and they’ve been programmed to wake up, cry, and need care from the newly trained nurses.
Children dress up in scrubs, stethoscopes, nurse hats and participate in pairs as they work together to hold, rock, settle, and feed their newborn baby.
This hands-on activity helps children practice caregiving skills, solve simple problems, and communicate personal strengths. The session encourages positive choices and outcomes, acknowledging the importance of family, friends, and school dynamics.
Electronic Engineer
Our DreamLeaders will guide children to create electronic circuits using our custom built high-tech equipment.
Group discussions touch on the basic fundamentals of electricity and focus on motion, forces, light and sound.
Children dress up in Engineer jackets and Lab coats and follow FUN diagram instructions to build circuits with spinning propellers, battery operated motors and music players.
This high-tech activity is an absolute winner for children who are creative, and also for those who enjoy cause and effect toys and equipment.
